Named “ōo-á,” the Taiwanese pronunciation of “taro,”
this collaboration with world champion baker Chen Yao-Hsun
presents a pure taro-inspired bakery line.
Through food, gifting, and exhibitions,
OOA reinterprets Hualien’s taro heritage —
bridging tradition and innovation in a fresh new way.
The signature “Golden Taro Croissant”
features Pinlangxin taro grown in Ji’an, Hualien —
creamy, smooth, and full of earthy aroma.
From the crisp layers made with LURPAK Danish fermented butter,
to the hand-crafted taro filling and a delicate dusting of salted egg yolk powder on top —
each layer builds more than just a croissant;
it’s a taste memory from Hualien itself.
